- Install and maintain Anti-Virus Software

- Scan your system every time you turn the computer on or at the very least once a week. Delete any spyware detected.
- Update your computer operating system on a regular basis. Enable automated updates and notifications of emergency patches.
- Update your browser - Modzilla - FireFox- Netscape - Internet Explorer
- Do not allow guests or children to operate your computer with Administrator privileges. Instead set up user logins for them that restrict installation of software.
- Do not click on ads in Pop up windows. Close the pop up window.
- Carefully review the end user agreements on all software you install. If you cannot find an end user agreement, do not install the software.
- If you are installing software that is bundled together, opt for custom install so you can view each piece of software and determine if it is right for you.
